The #DallasHype Instameet was put together as a relief effort to collect items to bring to victims of Hurricane Harvey. All bloggers, Instagrammers, and Dallas-ites were encouraged to bring a plastic grocery bag full of non-perishables to load into a truck that would be going to Houston the next day. From what I could see, the truck was pretty full of all sorts of things that could help aid the crisis.
Additionally to being able to help Harvey victims, I learned the importance of getting rid of background people in Photoshop. This skill is a MUST for large events like these, where there are a couple hundred photographers and models all in a few square feet of space, all trying to get the perfect shot. A quick Google search solved this for me, and helped me achieve the “alone in a world of my own” look in my shots. Fun fact: I had to take people or things out of the background of every one of these shots!
Super big shoutout to the models in these captures, in order, Victoria Nguyen (@victoriadventures), Natalie Meyer (@nat_l_ee_), Tristan Navaro (@tristannavaro), Julie (@bizzybunnyy), and Model (will update when I have her info)
Check out the #DallasHype hashtag on Instagram to see pics from all the other talented photographers that were there!
